A dive guide in Bali, Indonesia, was stunned when they happened upon an epic battle between a frogfish and its dinner.\u00a0<\/p>\n
No\u00e9 Couta<\/a>\u00a0from\u00a0Neptune Scuba Diving<\/a>\u00a0was guiding a\u00a0Discover Scuba Diving<\/a>\u00a0guest (who had not been diving before) at Manta Point in Nusa Penida, Bali.\u00a0<\/p>\n As they swam along together, Couta spotted a frogfish trying to eat a coral grouper that was almost the same size as it.\u00a0<\/p>\n In the video, the two foes can be seen locked together \u2013 the grouper\u2019s head fully inside the frogfish\u2019s mouth \u2013 while they tumbled along the\u00a0reef<\/a>\u00a0floor, buffeted by the current.\u00a0<\/p>\n See the moment the frogfish takes on that coral grouper. Credit: No\u00e9 Couta<\/p>\n \u201cA quote my mom likes to say whenever I can\u2019t finish my food is ‘\u773c\u775b\u5927\u809a\u5b50\u5c0f’, it translates to ‘big eyes with a small stomach’, says Couta, who shared the footage on\u00a0Instagram<\/a>. \u201cI think that quote fits well with this video.\u201d<\/p>\n Because Couta had a new diver in tow, they weren\u2019t able to hang around to see the outcome of the scuffle.
