The San Antonio Spurs haven\u2019t had a ton of rest recently as they lost in the NBA Cup championship game on Tuesday night, and were right back in action last night. At least that was a relatively easy opponent for a 119-94 win over the Wizards, but they then had to travel to Atlanta to take on the Hawks tonight.<\/p>\n
Atlanta also played on Thursday night, losing 133-126 in Charlotte, so both teams are on the second half of a back-to-back with travel.<\/p>\n

He took a step forward last season with 18.9 points, 10.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game, and he\u2019s continued that progress through 25 games this year.<\/p>\n Johnson is averaging 23.6 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 8.2 assists per game thus far. That\u2019s 18.7 rebounds plus assists, which is over this 17.5 number.<\/p>\n The forward has gone over 17.5 RA in all but nine of his games this season, and four of them came at the start of the campaign. He has 18+ RA in eight straight games and 11 of his last 12 contests.<\/p>\n To top it all off, Victor Wembanyama could be on a minutes restriction for the Spurs, opening up things on the glass for Johnson and the Hawks.<\/p>\n The Spurs won the first meeting 135-126 at home nearly a month ago as -1 favorites, and they\u2019re rightful favorites again tonight in Atlanta.\u00a0<\/p>\n San Antonio is a respectable 8-5 on the road as opposed to 10-2 at home, and Atlanta is just 5-6 at home while going 10-7 on the road.<\/p>\n With both teams on a back-to-back, I\u2019ll take the better team overall to win and cover, even if it is on the road.
