{"id":356499,"date":"2025-12-19T23:43:14","date_gmt":"2025-12-19T23:43:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/356499\/"},"modified":"2025-12-19T23:43:14","modified_gmt":"2025-12-19T23:43:14","slug":"richmond-hill-bus-sexual-assault-man-charged","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/356499\/","title":{"rendered":"Richmond Hill bus sexual assault: man charged"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police are appealing for more victims to come forward after a woman was sexually assaulted on a bus heading toward Richmond Hill last month.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The incident happened on Nov. 18, sometime between 6 and 7 p.m., when the victim was seated on a northbound bus from Finch Station. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yrp.ca\/en\/Modules\/News\/index.aspx?newsId=3fab57f9-7efa-4a5e-a178-f39bd316084e\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.yrp.ca\/en\/Modules\/News\/index.aspx?newsId=3fab57f9-7efa-4a5e-a178-f39bd316084e\">York Regional Police<\/a> say a man sat next to her and allegedly touched her in a sexual manner. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The woman immediately confronted the suspect, police say, and reported what happened to the driver. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The suspect got off the bus, police said. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">After fleeing, police believe the suspect travelled to Brampton, where he allegedly targeted more victims. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police arrested the accused on Thursday, who they identified as 31-year-old Saman Salimianrizi of no fixed address.
