Sophie Cunningham is considering a WWE run after her WNBA career is over.<\/p>\n
Speaking on a recent episode of the\u00a0Show Me Something<\/a> podcast<\/a>, Indiana Fever\u2019s Sophie Cunningham shared that she grew up watching WWE and revealed that she was once asked to be a part of the company. She also noted that she may do it during the off-season or after she retires from the WNBA.<\/p>\n \u201cI grew up on that sh*t. WWE, baby!\u201d Cunningham exclaimed. \u201cMe and [my sister] Lindsey used to wrestle all the time, and our parents would have to call it. Kane, Hulk (Hogan). Oh my God. I used to watch the Hulk all the time, the reality TV show. John Cena<\/a> was just the absolute best.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThey asked me to do it,\u201d said Cunningham. \u201cYou know, maybe after I retire or off-season, maybe us two (co-host West Wilson) will be the new WWE duo.\u201d [H\/T Fightful<\/a>]<\/p>\n During his recent appearance on the\u00a0Joe Rogan Experience<\/a>, comedian Tony Hinchcliffe revealed that he once turned down a WWE writer role<\/a> because it required him to relocate to Stamford, Connecticut.<\/p>\n \u201cYeah, it was only a couple years into me doing standup like seven nights a week at the comedy store all the time. Someone\u2019s like, \u2018Hey, I have a friend in WWE if you want to have a meeting with them and just talk.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cI went in with straight-up ideas, this that, The Undertaker\u2019s brother comes back again, this, that, the next, everything back and forth. I can\u2019t even remember any of them; it\u2019s been so long. But I went in with a whole thing, this guy\u2019s like, \u2018Where the hell did you? This is crazy, you just did this?\u2019 I\u2019m like, \u2018Yeah, I found out a couple days ago we were going to talk.\u2019<\/p>\n \u201cThey (WWE) offered it, but I would have had to move to Connecticut and take a train to New York every night to go do standup, and that would have just been exhausting\u2026<\/p>\n \u201c\u2026If it was anywhere else other than Connecticut, it kind of would have made sense; if it was in New York City, it would have been a no-brainer.
