Jake Paul <\/a>suffered a debilitating defeat by knock out as he faced off against Anthony Joshua<\/a> in a hotly anticipated boxing showdown.<\/p>\n

Paul was hit with the match-ending blow in round six of the fight against Joshua which was held at Kaseya Center in Miami and streamed live on Netflix on Friday, December 19.<\/p>\n

The former two-time unified heavyweight champion landed the knockout punch on Paul after the YouTuber<\/a> attempted to taunt Joshua by sticking his tongue out at him before the final blow.<\/p>\n

After earlier pushing through a brutal onslaught from his rival, Paul was unable to respond to the referee\u2019s count this time around. The ref had no choice but to call it, crowning Joshua victorious.<\/p>\n

It was really bad, but [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

Paul appeared to be in good spirits as he conceded defeat, admitting he enjoyed the match despite the loss.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel good. That was fun. I love this sport,\u201d he said, per multiple media reports. \u201cI got my ass beat, but that\u2019s what this sport is about.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although he came off second best on the night, Paul said he still felt like a winner and vowed to return and \u201cget myself a belt.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cMan, I\u2019ve already won in every single way in life,\u201d he said. \u201cThis sport has helped me in every single way \u2026 I think my jaw is broken, by the way.\u201d<\/p>\n

For his part, Joshua claimed he thought he would win the fight a lot faster than how it ultimately played out.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt wasn\u2019t the best performance. It wasn\u2019t the best,\u201d he said in the ring. \u201cThe end goal was \u2018pin Jake Paul down and hurt him.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

The boxer then admitted, \u201cIt took a bit longer than expected.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joshua also praised his rival in his post-match speech, complimenting Paul for his performance in the fight.<\/p>\n

\u201cJake Paul<\/a> did really well and he deserves his props. It takes a real man to do that and he deserves respect for trying and trying and trying,\u201d Joshua said. \u201cIt takes a real man to do that. We have to give Jake Paul respect.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joshua added, \u201cHe came up against a real fighter tonight.\u201d<\/p>\n

Boxing fans were also vocal about the Joshua v Paul fight, flocking to social media to sound off.<\/p>\n

Others were less than impressed with Paul\u2019s performance<\/a>, accusing him of dragging out the fight by strategically dropping to his knees throughout the night in order to last longer in the ring.<\/p>\n

Mocking Paul\u2019s moves, another joked, \u201cJake tired himself out with all that damn falling \ud83d\ude2d\u201d<\/p>\n
