\u201cThat\u2019s bulls\u2013t,\u201d the executive told TheWrap of the Daily Mail\u2019s reporting, dismayed at the increasingly sensational coverage of what happened at the Saturday f\u00eate. Nick Reiner, who was living in his parent\u2019s back house at the time, did attend O\u2019Brien\u2019s holiday event and was acting erratically to the A-list guests, but there was no major blowout, the executive said.<\/p>\n
The New York Times reported that accounts of a shouting match were \u201coverblown,\u201d<\/a> TheWrap was told that O\u2019Brien \u201csaw no fight, no argument.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThere was this kid walking around making people feel uncomfortable. Eavesdropping on conversations and that kind of thing,\u201d the individual, requesting anonymity, said.<\/p>\n But the attendee was vehement that O\u2019Brien and guests did not witness a shouting match between Rob and Nick Reiner, adding, \u201cIf there had been a big fight with the Reiners, there were a million people there I knew. No one mentioned it to me.\u201d<\/p>\n The attendee continued: \u201cI said to Conan the next day \u2013 I said, \u2018What is all this stuff about a fight?\u2019 He said, \u2018I saw no fight.’\u201d<\/p>\n As for reports that Nick had a tiff with actor Bill Hader after a bizarre exchange at the party, the executive confirmed the screenwriter interrupted O\u2019Brien and Hader mid-conversation and \u201cacted a little strange,\u201d but the encounter ended there.<\/p>\n Representatives for O\u2019Brien did not immediately respond to TheWrap\u2019s request for comment.<\/p>\n Nick Reiner, 32,\u00a0was formally charged Tuesday<\/a>\u00a0with two counts of first-degree murder after being arrested on Sunday as the main suspect in his parents\u2019 deaths, which were ruled later in the week as homicide by stabbing<\/a>.<\/p>\n The charges came two days after he was picked up in Exposition Park<\/a>, near the USC campus, hours after Rob and Michele were found by their daughter, Romy, stabbed to death in their Brentwood home.<\/p>\n Reiner\u2019s charges carry a possible sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole \u2014 however, the decision regarding the death penalty is still pending, Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman said Tuesday.<\/p>\n The 32-year-old Reiner made his first appearance in court on Wednesday, where he spoke only once, responding \u201cYes, your honor,\u201d before the arraignment hearing was\u00a0postponed<\/a>\u00a0to Jan. 7.
