Peel police say they\u2019ve arrested a man following an alleged sexual assault on a transit bus in Mississauga earlier this month.<\/p>\n

In a release<\/a> on Saturday, police said the suspect boarded a bus on Nov. 18 and sat beside a female he did not know.<\/p>\n

It is alleged the suspect sexually assaulted the female victim while the bus was moving. The suspect then fled, but was arrested by Peel officers a short distance away.<\/p>\n

Saman Salimianrizi, 32, of no fixed address, was arrested and charged with sexual assault and two counts of breach of probation.<\/p>\n

He was held pending a bail hearing and remains in custody.<\/p>\n

Salimianrizi is also facing sexual assault charges with York Regional Police<\/a> in connection with a similar incident.<\/p>\n

That alleged assault happened on the same day, Nov. 18, sometime between 6 and 7 p.m., on a northbound bus from Finch Station heading toward Richmond Hill.<\/p>\n

York police initially said they believed Salimianrizi travelled to Brampton, where he allegedly targeted more victims.<\/p>\n

York officers arrested him on Dec. 18, and he is facing a sexual assault charge and two counts of breaching probation.<\/p>\n

Investigators from both police forces believe there may be additional victims.<\/p>\n
