And it\u2019s already making waves when it comes to her teammate Caitlin Clark.<\/p>\n<p>Cunningham <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?app=desktop&amp;v=0jtH1N_anlU\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">addressed many topic<\/a>s in her <a href=\"https:\/\/awfulannouncing.com\/volume\/sophie-cunningham-lands-podcast.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">intro episode of the\u00a0Show Me Something\u00a0podcast<\/a> including her rise to stardom and boom in social media followers after stepping up to Jacy Sheldon of the Connecticut Sun in defending Clark. She also talked the WNBA\u2019s reaction to her rookie season and her love of Arby\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>But no clip will probably make a bigger impact or go more viral than her thoughts on the discourse surrounding Caitlin Clark as the face of the league. And in the mind of Sophie Cunningham, there is absolutely no debate to be had as she explained in no holds barred terminology.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Sophie Cunningham on Caitlin Clark being the Face of the league:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen people try to argue that she\u2019s not the face of our league or if our league would be where we\u2019re at without her, you\u2019re dumb as shit. You\u2019re literally dumb as f***,\u201d Cunningham added.<\/p>\n<p>That should stir up some reactions!<\/p>\n<p>When you <a href=\"https:\/\/awfulannouncing.com\/wnba\/rebecca-lobo-caitlin-clark-drives-ratings.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">look at the sheer numbers<\/a>, it\u2019s hard to argue any other point than Caitlin Clark being the face of the WNBA. She has totally changed the game in terms of ratings and overall interest. And that can be true while also acknowledging that there are scores of other players making a positive contribution to the overall health of the league too.
