A former UFC interim lightweight champion and The Ultimate Fighter 13 champion, Ferguson ended his MMA career on a dreadful run, dropping eight consecutive bouts before departing the UFC in January. Since then, the 41-year-old \u201cEl Cucuy\u201d has shifted his focus to boxing, making his Misfits debut in August, where he won the Misfits interim middleweight title with a controversial stoppage of Salt Papi at Misfits 22.<\/p>\n
Spencer is an influencer from the U.K. and also a close friend of controversial main event fighter Andrew Tate. Spencer has had middling success in his influencer boxing career, going just 3-2 in his boxing bouts. Well, here we are. There\u2019s been a fair amount of action on this undercard, but now it\u2019s time for the big fights. First up, Tony Ferguson makes his sophomore outing into the boxing ring. Will it go as well as the first?<\/p>\n
There\u2019s some sort of snafu for Spencer\u2019s walkout, but it finally gets sorted and Quevo does a song before he walks. Because sure, why not?<\/p>\n

Ferguson walks out to \u201cThe Party Has Just Begun\u201d by Freestyle, his MMA walkout music. He bounces around and gets to the ring quickly, decked out in a white robe, with white trunks.<\/p>\n
The ring announcer does his job and intros the fighters. The crowd is generally appreciative of both. It\u2019s go time.<\/p>\n
Ferguson looks like a 40-year-old man in there. Both men out in orthodox, and start with the jabs right away. Spencer seems a little quicker to start, but Ferguson keeps back him down. Ferguson is parrying the lead, but can\u2019t find a spot for his right hand yet. Spencer jabbing and not much else. Ferguson lands a left off a stance switch. Ferguson shifting stances and lands a right. Ferguson methodically marching Spencer down and lands a right hand.<\/p>\n
Spencer is not offering enough offense and Ferguson seems to have minimal respect for him. Ferguson jabbing away, walking him down, and occassionally cracking with the rear hand. Combination from Ferguson lands to end the round.<\/p>\n

Ferguson with an impressive level of output here, continuing to pump the jab. He\u2019s also showing some solid defense, slipping Spencer\u2019s jab. Spencer cannot find a good shot and eats a sharp right hand that stuns Spencer!<\/p>\n
Spencer on wobbly legs and retreats! Ferguson after him and the ref steps in to break up a clinch. But now Spencer is complaining about something. Ref is talking to him. Clock is still running. Spencer claiming back of the head. This is weird but the fight finally restarts and Ferguson right back on him! And down goes Spencer!<\/p>\n
Spencer hits the canvas and Ferguson stands over him yelling! The ref pushed Ferguson back, and Spencer against complains about getting punched in the back of the head. He beats the count and the round ends.<\/p>\n

Spencer seems mentally dejected but comes out swinging and eats a huge left hook! Spencer is hurt and Ferguson jumps in, but Spencer lands a right! Ferguson keeps charging though and Spencer is in retreat. Spencer trying to tie up, but Ferguson breaks and hunts again. Spencer lands a decent left in space but Ferguson keeps coming.<\/p>\n
Ferguson keeps putting the pressure on and Spencer is getting more wild. And that\u2019s opening windows for Ferguson who keeps chopping away. Credit to Spencer, he\u2019s not quitting and lands a decent left hook. But then Ferguson clocks him! Spencer in full cover up mode! Spencer is almost out of there but he\u2019s showing some heart! Ferguson cooking and Spencer digging deep to survive and return fire to make it to the end of the round.<\/p>\n

Right to the body got a reaction from the former UFC interim champ. Clinch and a rest from the ref. Spencer lands one up top as well! Spencer coming alive this round! Ferguson taking shots and coming back! They\u2019re brawling in there now before the round ends.<\/p>\n

Spencer is going to need a finish or at least a knockdown this round, but Ferguson is right back on the gas, stinging him with the jab. Spencer with a nice right hand after a body shot. But Ferguson\u2019s jab keeps the pace of the contest. Spencer spits out his mouthpiece and the ref pauses the action. And it appears Spencer has lost a tooth! Commentary says a tooth is on the canvas. But we\u2019re back to the action.<\/p>\n
Ferguson keeps coming forward and lands a sharp right hand. Spencer\u2019s last gasp seems to have subsided as he\u2019s retreating freely. the crowd is chanting \u201cTo-Ny!\u201d and Spencer falls over in clinch. No knockdown. But on the return, Spencer swings a huge right hand that misses \u2014 AND TONY WITH A MONSTER SHOT!!! Spencer\u2019s legs are jelly and Ferguson pours it on as he stumbles with seconds left! Ferguson can\u2019t get the finish and Spencer is saved by the bell!<\/p>\n
