\u201cWeekend Update\u201d on Saturday Night Live returned to its now-traditional Joke Swap segment, in which co-anchors Colin Jost and Michael Che write offensive jokes for the other to read live.<\/p>\n

There was just one catch: when Che announced the joke swap to viewers, Jost responded, \u201cSee that\u2019s interesting, because you specifically said that we were not doing it this year.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOh, did I?\u201d Che asked, innocently. \u201cWell, I guess you\u2019ll just have to read mine.\u201d<\/p>\n

Much like last year\u2019s Christmas joke swap<\/a>, the darkest joke here centered on Jost\u2019s wife, the actress Scarlett Johansson. <\/p>\n

\u201cNew research shows that millions of women leave the workforce due to menopause,\u201d Jost said, \u201cWhich means there\u2019s only a couple years left on my gravy train.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jost was forced to read the rest of the joke, saying that his wife \u201calready be like, \u2018Colin, I\u2019m warm. Colin, I\u2019m sweating.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

Jost told Johansson, \u201cB—h, you having a hot flash.\u201d<\/p>\n

Tragically for Jost, this was not the end of the bit. He continued, \u201cBut don\u2019t worry about me, I got a backup.\u201d<\/p>\n

Showing a picture of Jenna Ortega as her hit character Wednesday Addams, Jost bragged, \u201cThey don\u2019t call Wednesday \u2018hump day\u2019 for nothing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWow, Colin,\u201d Che said in a shocked tone. \u201cI wouldn\u2019t have done that one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Che\u2019s earlier jokes for Jost didn\u2019t go easy on him either. <\/p>\n

\u201cThe Archdiocese of New York announced it will set up a $300 million fund for victims of church sexual abuse,\u201d Jost said, \u201cAnd yet I get nothing for keeping my mouth shut and taking it like a champ.\u201d<\/p>\n

As poor Jost struggled to get through his lines, Che mockingly told him, \u201cYou should have wrote some jokes for me to tell.\u201d<\/p>\n

Although Jost managed a rare win<\/a> against Che in the joke swap segment in May 2024, this one continues the usual pattern of Che ending up on top.
