Fresh off his TKO finish over Tyron Woodley<\/a>, Anderson Silva has no plans of leaving combat sports behind.<\/p>\n

The 50-year-old legend continued his boxing journey this past Saturday. Silva and Woodley, who is a former UFC Welterweight Champion, fought on the undercard of Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua inside the Kaseya Center in Miami. \u201cThe Spider\u201d demonstrated his superior boxing skills, as well as his reach advantage to stop \u201cThe Chosen One\u201d in the second stanza<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After the fight, Silva told Ariel Helwani that he had no retirement plans. In fact, he called for a showdown against his old UFC rival Chris Weidman, who was initially supposed to box Silva on Saturday but suffered an injury. Later on, Silva attended the post-fight presser and told reporters that he\u2019s unsure when he will ultimately retire (h\/t MMAJunkie<\/a>).<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t have a number. I just wake up every day in the morning and say, \u2018God, thank you so much. I\u2019m here again,’\u201d Silva said. \u201cWhen I have a chance to put everything together between my work, my company, and my training, I just say, \u2018Oh my God, I can do this again. Wow, I\u2019m so lucky.\u2019 It\u2019s not very good when I pass the news to my family. When I go, \u2018Well, I\u2019ll go fight again.\u2019 Everybody (says), \u2018No way, Dad. Are you crazy?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cYeah, I\u2019m a little crazy. It\u2019s a passion, brother. It\u2019s a passion. I\u2019m lucky because I don\u2019t see nobody in my age, in my generation doing the same. That\u2019s why I pray every day and say, \u2018God, thank you for everything you do in my life.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Weidman congratulated Silva on the win over Woodley and said he\u2019ll meet his old nemesis inside the ring at some point in 2026.
