{"id":362375,"date":"2025-12-22T20:23:07","date_gmt":"2025-12-22T20:23:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/362375\/"},"modified":"2025-12-22T20:23:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-22T20:23:07","slug":"police-name-suspect-and-victim","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/362375\/","title":{"rendered":"police name suspect and victim"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Toronto police have named a suspect in their investigation into an alleged homicide that happened on Saturday in the Queen West neighbourhood. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Police say officers responded to a call about a missing woman in the <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/y7PJfKs5HfN6XfjP7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/y7PJfKs5HfN6XfjP7\">Strachan Avenue and Wellington Street West<\/a> area on Friday night, at around 10:40 p.m. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Investigators say they located the missing deceased woman in a residence the next morning and her death was classified as homicide. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The victim and suspect knew each other, police believe, adding that this is Toronto\u2019s 40th homicide of 2025. <\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Abdul Ghafoori, a 32-year-old of Toronto, has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/64851\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/64851\/\">named by police<\/a> as a suspect in the homicide of 30-year-old Himanshi Khurana, also of Toronto. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-chromatic=\"ignore\" alt=\"\" class=\"c-image\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/WACVXLWPIVADNFKSB3BR4GQSKM.jpeg\"  width=\"800\" height=\"450\"\/>Queen West homicide victim Toronto police released this image with their press release.
