Max Verstappen<\/a> is “relentless” according to former Formula E driver Sam Bird, who could only praise the Dutchman.”I don’t think I’ve ever seen anybody this fast ever in Formula 1. He’s so relentless. It’s scary.”- Sam Bird<\/p>\n

The Dutchman just missed out on the 2025 drivers’ title after his stunning comeback during the second half of the season. Verstappen won the final three Grands Prix of the year, but in the end, he finished two points behind Lando Norris in the drivers’ standings.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the four-time world champion in the BBC’s Chequered Flag podcast, former Mercedes driver Bird was very positive about the Red Bull driver’s performance.<\/p>\n

He explained: “I’m, as a driver, genuinely, completely in awe of his skill level. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anybody this fast ever in Formula 1<\/a>. He’s so relentless. It’s scary. It really is scary.
