{"id":362846,"date":"2025-12-23T01:25:11","date_gmt":"2025-12-23T01:25:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/362846\/"},"modified":"2025-12-23T01:25:11","modified_gmt":"2025-12-23T01:25:11","slug":"toronto-dentist-charged-following-alleged-sexual-assault-during-treatment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/362846\/","title":{"rendered":"Toronto dentist charged following alleged sexual assault during treatment"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"b-date-custom__date-item\">Updated:\u00a0December 22, 2025 at 6:47PM EST<\/p>\n<p class=\"b-date-custom__date-item\">Published:\u00a0December 22, 2025 at 5:32PM EST<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Toronto police have arrested a dentist following an alleged sexual assault on a patient earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/64856\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.tps.ca\/media-centre\/news-releases\/64856\/\">release<\/a>, police said the alleged assault happened on Oct. 18, when a 21-year-old woman was receiving treatment at a dentist\u2019s office in Scarborough in the area of Finch Avenue East and Kennedy Road.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">The accused turned himself into Toronto police on Dec. 5.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph\">Muthuckumaru Illango, 66, of Toronto, is charged with one count of sexual assault.
