Lando Norris<\/a> has taken on McLaren<\/a> Racing CEO Zak Brown in a karting challenge with DeWalt and eBay.<\/p>\n

Joined by Sky Sports F1 commentator David Croft, the pair had three challenges, including a slalom, a pitstop in which they removed a wheel on a separate kart before taking on a full hot lap.<\/p>\n

“If Lando does win, then you probably need to go around to his flat and wash his car,” Croft joked to Brown, who agreed there was “a lot on the line today”.<\/p>\n

After Norris sailed through the challenges, with his only slight hiccup being the pitstop task, Brown hopped into the kart. Brown managed a time of 2m36s, including 15 seconds’ worth of penalties for driving through cones, and Norris claimed victory with a time of 2m31s, which included a five-second penalty.<\/p>\n

Norris proudly took the trophy and joked that Brown couldn’t touch it. “They don’t allow me to keep my trophies, but this one is all mine. So, McLaren aren’t getting this one,” he said with a smile.<\/p>\n

McLaren clinched both the constructors’ and drivers’ championship titles in 2025 with Norris celebrating his first title. The British driver joined the McLaren Driver Development Programme in 2017 before making his Formula 1 debut with the Woking outfit in 2019. He has grown with the team over the past seven years.<\/p>\n

“Oh, God.\u00a0I’ve not cried in a while.\u00a0I didn’t think I would cry, but I did,” Norris said after the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. “It’s a long journey.\u00a0It’s a long journey.\u00a0First of all, I want to say a big thanks to my guys, everyone at McLaren… My parents.<\/p>\n

“I’m not crying… My mum, my dad.\u00a0They’re the ones who supported me since the beginning.<\/p>\n

“It feels amazing.\u00a0I now know what Max feels like a little bit.\u00a0I want to congratulate Max and Oscar, my two biggest competitors the whole season.\u00a0It’s been a pleasure to race against both of them.\u00a0It’s been an honour.\u00a0I’ve learned a lot from both of them as well.\u00a0I’ve enjoyed it.\u00a0It’s been a long year.\u00a0But we did it.\u00a0We did it.\u00a0I’m so proud of everyone.”<\/p>\n
