World champion Magdeleine Valli\u00e8res Mill will remain with EF Education-Oatly until at least the end of the 2028 season. On Monday, the team confirmed the news they would be locking in Canada\u2019s first elite world champ<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old from Sherbrooke, Que. earned the rainbow jersey with an incredible win at the road world championships in Kigali earlier this year. The deal cements her transition from support rider to team leader within a roster that already includes Olympic champion Kristen Faulkner, Tour Down Under winner Noemi R\u00fcegg and Tour de France stage winner C\u00e9drine Kerbaol.<\/p>\n

Magdeleine Valli\u00e8res Mill has been with the EF programme since turning professional and said continuity played a major role in her decision to re-sign. \u201cI grew up on this team,\u201d she said. \u201cIt feels like the right place to keep developing, both as a rider and as a person.\u201d<\/p>\n

Her ambitions have expanded along with her status. Magdeleine Valli\u00e8res Mill has identified the Ardennes classics as key targets, while also exploring her potential in stage racing. A major focal point of the 2026 season will come closer to home, when she defends her world title at the championships in Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n

EF Education-Oatly general manager Esra Tromp said her evolution has been evident well before her worlds success. \u201cShe\u2019s always raced with commitment and courage,\u201d Tromp said. \u201cThe rainbow jersey is a reflection of that, but also of the way she lifts the group around her.\u201d<\/p>\n

She is set to begin her 2026 campaign at the Tour Down Under before turning her attention to the spring classics, the Giro d\u2019Italia and the Tour de France Femmes.<\/p>\n
