Jack Doherty is claiming innocence following physical altercation with UFC legend.<\/p>\n
Andrei Arlovski unexpectedly made headlines this past weekend when he became embroiled in a brawl with Doherty and his associates in the halls of Kaseya Center in Miami during Saturday\u2019s Anthony Joshua vs. Jake Paul boxing event. According to Arlovski, Doherty was the instigator, possibly looking to generate content for his social media platforms, and he claimed Doherty\u2019s crew threatened \u201cme, my wife, my kid\u201d and a \u201cfriend.\u201d<\/p>\n
On Sunday, Doherty shared his side of the story, putting all of the blame on Arlovski.<\/p>\n
\u201cEveryone\u2019s talking about that Andrei whatever UFC fight that we had at the Jake Paul fight,\u201d Doherty said. \u201cI did not start that, and I don\u2019t know why everyone\u2019s putting the blame on me. \u2018Oh, you\u2019re heading behind your security guard.\u2019 Duh. This man walks by me, bumps into my cameraman and throws a kick at us for no reason and then my friend stepped in and then everything else happened. Bro, I\u2019m not trying to fight this guy. I\u2019m not trying to instigate a fight, I\u2019m trying to stay out of trouble. I\u2019m on bond right now, you think we\u2019re trying to start fights, hell nah.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat guy started the whole thing, you can see it, it\u2019s all on video, so I don\u2019t know why everyone\u2019s trying to blame it on me. I was literally just walking by and this guy goes boom and then a little karate kick\u2026 you can see I did nothing to start the fight.\u201d<\/p>\n
The footage appears to show Doherty and Arlovski briefly bumping shoulders, though it\u2019s unclear if Arlovski responded with a \u201ckarate kick\u201d as Doherty claims. One of Doherty\u2019s associates is seen throwing a punch at Arlovski, which further escalated the situation.<\/p>\n
