{"id":363752,"date":"2025-12-23T12:28:15","date_gmt":"2025-12-23T12:28:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/363752\/"},"modified":"2025-12-23T12:28:15","modified_gmt":"2025-12-23T12:28:15","slug":"welsh-golfers-luca-thompson-and-ffion-tynan-to-get-let-chance","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/363752\/","title":{"rendered":"Welsh golfers Luca Thompson and Ffion Tynan to get LET chance"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Wales will have two new representatives on the Ladies European Tour (LET) in 2026 after Luca Thompson and Ffion Tynan came through Final Qualifying School in Morocco.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Thompson, 23, finished 30th, while 22-year-old Tynan made the top 50 based on final round countback.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Those placings mean the duo will move from amateur to professional golf having secured category 16 status, which will get them into many LET events.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Thompson&#8217;s home club is Pavenham Park in Bedfordshire, but she has represented Wales in amateur golf because her father is from Pembrokeshire.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Tynan, from the Pyle and Kenfig club, has been involved with Wales Golf squads for more than a decade.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Congratulations to Luca and Ffion from everyone at Wales Golf for them earning status on the LET.
