\n New Life Fitness equipment has been installed, including treadmills, cross trainers, bikes, and strength machines. Three wheelchair-accessible strength machines are now also included.\n<\/p>\n

\n Himesh Soneji, a member for more than two and a half years, said: “I think the new gym is great. Really good use of the space, it feels somehow much more spacious than before.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It has a real premium gym feel at a cost-effective price.”\n<\/p>\n

\n The refreshed space also includes dumbbells, Smith machines, squat racks, and Theraguns for muscle recovery.\n<\/p>\n
\n Improved flooring and lighting feature throughout and there are also redecorated group exercise studios hosting classes such as Zumba, Body Pump and Yoga.\n<\/p>\n

\n Gillian Kolesnikow, a member for four years, said: “The studios look very sleek and professional.\n<\/p>\n
\n “The new flooring and lighting have made a real difference, particularly for Yoga classes, and have really enhanced the atmosphere.”\n<\/p>\n

\n John Sewell, area contract manager at Everyone Active, added: “We\u2019re delighted to see the refurbished gym open and being enjoyed by members.\n<\/p>\n
\n “This investment has completely refreshed the space and significantly enhanced the quality of facilities available.\n<\/p>\n
\n “It\u2019s about creating a welcoming, inclusive environment where people of all fitness levels feel supported to stay active and healthy.”\n<\/p>\n
\n Councillor Chris Lloyd, the council\u2019s lead member for leisure, said the improvements would “make our first-class leisure offer even better”.\n<\/p>\n
\n He said: “This upgrade will create even more opportunities for residents of all ages and abilities to embrace a healthy, active lifestyle.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We are excited to see the installation of solar panels on South Oxhey Leisure Centre next year, which will significantly reduce bills and save a projected 772 tonnes of carbon emissions over the lifetime of the panels.\n<\/p>\n
