Chevy Chase<\/a> is speaking out over what he says was an “upsetting” exclusion from SNL50: The Anniversary Special.\n<\/p>\n The actor and original Saturday Night Live cast member, 82, revealed in CNN Films’ forthcoming documentary, I\u2019m Chevy Chase and You\u2019re Not, that he was “hurt” over how little he was tapped to be involved in the milestone anniversary celebration.\n<\/p>\n “Well, it was kind of upsetting actually,” he said. “This is probably the first time I’m saying it. But I expected that I would’ve been on the stage too with all the other actors. When Garrett [Morris] and Laraine [Newman] went on the stage there, I was curious as to why I didn’t. No one asked me to. Why was I left aside?”\n<\/p>\n Later, while referring to the night’s “Weekend Update” segment, he asked, “Why was Bill Murray<\/a> there and why was I not? Somebody’s made a bad mistake there. I don’t know who it was, but somebody made a mistake. They should’ve had me on that stage. It hurt.”\n<\/p>\n The special, which took place back in February and featured familiar faces from throughout the show’s half-century run, was initially going to include more of the actor, the doc reveals.
