{"id":364890,"date":"2025-12-24T01:01:06","date_gmt":"2025-12-24T01:01:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/364890\/"},"modified":"2025-12-24T01:01:06","modified_gmt":"2025-12-24T01:01:06","slug":"indiana-mens-soccer-associate-hc-kevin-robson-named-head-coach-at-loyola-university-chicago","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/364890\/","title":{"rendered":"Indiana men&#8217;s soccer associate HC Kevin Robson named head coach at Loyola University Chicago"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Indiana men\u2019s soccer associate\u00a0head coach Kevin Robson has been appointed the new head coach at Loyola University Chicago, per a release\u00a0Tuesday\u00a0from\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/iuhoosiers.com\/news\/2025\/12\/23\/mens-soccer-iu-soccer-grateful-as-robson-pursues-loyola-chicago-opportunity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Indiana Athletics<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Robson is\u00a0now\u00a0the fifth head coach in Loyola Chicago\u2019s\u00a0men\u2019s soccer\u00a0program history, since the\u00a0school started competing in men\u2019s soccer\u00a0in\u00a01981.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Robson played for four years\u00a0in\u00a0Bloomington\u00a0as a collegiate player from 2003-06 and\u00a0was\u00a0named a\u00a0student\u00a0coach during the 2007 season.\u00a0Robson\u00a0has served as an assistant coach\u00a0for the Hoosiers\u00a0since\u00a02013\u00a0and\u00a0was named\u00a0the recruiting coordinator\u00a0in 2017.\u00a0He was also elevated to associate head coach\u00a0behind current head coach Todd Yeagley\u00a0in 2021.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Throughout\u00a0Robson\u2019s\u00a018 years as\u00a0a player and\u00a0member of the\u00a0Cream and Crimson\u2019s\u00a0coaching staff, Indiana held a record of 254-77-69. The Hoosiers won\u00a0two national championships and\u00a016 Big Ten Titles\u00a0in that time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0the release, Yeagley\u00a0said he appreciated\u00a0Robson\u2019s\u00a0coaching and playing\u00a0career in Bloomington\u00a0and\u00a0wished\u00a0him the best of luck in his\u00a0new\u00a0role.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKevin has been an integral part of our soccer program, contributing to championship success both as a player and\u00a0coach,\u201d Yeagley said. \u201cHis charisma, authenticity and genuine\u00a0love\u00a0for Indiana soccer played a significant role in attracting some of the finest players to wear the IU\u00a0jersey.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The two other assistant coaches\u00a0who\u00a0remain\u00a0on the\u00a0Indiana men\u2019s soccer\u00a0staff are Christian Lomeli and Tanner Thompson.
