United came out on top against Bournemouth<\/a> and Red Devils head coach Ruben Amorim<\/a> oversaw a stunning 4-1 win from the Premier League club in Chicago.<\/p>\n The Red Devils made a strong start and immediate impact at the Soldier Field after Rasmus Hojlund<\/a> turned in a header in the eighth minute from a Patrick Dorgu<\/a> cross.<\/p>\n Patrick Dorgu then put United<\/a> 2-0 up in the 25th minute against the Cherries and the Red Devils took their advantage over Bournemouth into the break.<\/p>\n United would extend their lead over Bournemouth<\/a> in the second half after READ MORE: Man Utd fans all saying same thing about Patrick Dorgu after performance vs Bournemouth, \u2018main thing\u2019 stood right out<\/a><\/p>\n Bournemouth did manage to pull one back against Manchester United in the 88th minute after Matthijs de Ligt<\/a> put the ball in the back of his own net in the tie.<\/p>\n However, Ruben Amorim and his men walked away from their Premier League Summer Series match with their heads held high after their 4-1 win in Illinois.<\/p>\n United fans<\/a> on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, waxed lyrical about the showing from Rasmus Hojlund in the pre-season friendly on Thursday.<\/p>\n One Red Devils supporter said: \u201cCan\u2019t even be annoyed by Hojlund. Nobody. Because nearly every ball [he has been] stuck [in]. Nearly every duel was won.\u201d<\/p>\n Another United fan wrote: \u201cHojlund has been one of the best players on the pitch, right from hold-up play, getting a goal on top is good for him. His confidence is top.\u201d<\/p>\n Someone else argued: \u201cI really like how Rasmus Hojlund has played this [match]. He has been a handful for the defenders unlike last season when he was just wrestling defenders. He has been quite clever and got around really well. I wouldn\u2019t mind keeping him for one more season as Manchester United need to prioritise a [defensive midfielder] first.\u201d<\/p>\n While a fourth added: \u201cI\u2019ve said it all summer and it\u2019s been cemented tonight for me. Hojlund should stay and be given some time to grow. Now, I believe someone should be brought in to take pressure off him.
