Countries \u200bincluding Canada, Britain, Germany and others on Wednesday condemned \u200dthe \u200bIsraeli security cabinet\u2019s approval of 19 new settlements<\/a> in the occupied West Bank, \u2060saying they violated international law and risked fuelling instability.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe call on Israel \u200cto reverse \u200dthis decision, \u200das well as the expansion \u200cof settlements,\u201d said \u2060a joint \u200bstatement released by Britain, which also included Belgium, Denmark, France, Italy, Iceland, Ireland, Japan, Malta, \u200bthe Netherlands, Norway and Spain.<\/p>\n
