Durham police have arrested one male and are searching for a second following a fatal stabbing in Oshawa on Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the region\u2019s ninth homicide so far this year.<\/p>\n

It happened near Park Road South and John Street<\/a> at around 4:15 a.m.<\/p>\n

Police told reporters<\/a> that a passerby contacted emergency services after spotting a person on the street suffering from obvious signs of trauma.<\/p>\n

A man was found with multiple stab wounds and was taken to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.<\/p>\n

The man has since been identified as 44-year-old Jeremy Russell.<\/p>\n

Investigators say<\/a> they located an initial suspect, Nicholas Robbins, 33, of Oshawa, on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

He is charged with second-degree murder.<\/p>\n

A second suspect, identified as 44-year-old Michael Waterman, also of Oshawa, is still wanted for second-degree murder. <\/p>\n

Police add that Russell, Robbins, and Waterman were all known to each other.<\/p>\n

Investigators say Waterman is considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. If seen, contact 911.<\/p>\n

Detectives are urging Waterman to contact counsel and turn himself in. Anyone found assisting him in evading police will be prosecuted under the Criminal Code of Canada, they add.<\/p>\n

Waterman is also wanted by the Peterborough Police Service<\/a> for second-degree murder in connection with a homicide on Dec. 6 that resulted in the death of a 33-year-old man. <\/p>\n
