Speaking after securing his maiden title, the Bristol-born driver praised his teammate for making him a better and overall title-worthy driver.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m lucky, the team have given me an incredible car that\u2019s made my life very easy at times,\u201d Norris told GPblog.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt times, we\u2019ve still struggled, and even I\u2019ve struggled against Oscar, and Oscar\u2019s done an incredible job.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Piastri showed Norris up<\/p>\n<p>According to Norris he actually learned a lot from the younger and more inexperienced Piastri, noting that the level of the challenge put forward by his Australian teammate was higher than former teammates Carlos Sainz and Daniel Ricciardo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m glad I\u2019ve had Oscar the last three years, because even though he\u2019s still a lot newer to it than me, I\u2019ve learned a lot from him, and he showed me up at many times,&#8221; Norris continued.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve managed to learn a lot from him, and I wouldn\u2019t be the driver I am today without that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOf course, also with my other teammates, with Carlos, with Daniel the last few years. But, he\u2019s made me have to dig even deeper than I ever have before.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause by the midpoint of the season, he was performing better than I was, and doing a better job consistently.
