{"id":367508,"date":"2025-12-25T06:20:05","date_gmt":"2025-12-25T06:20:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/367508\/"},"modified":"2025-12-25T06:20:05","modified_gmt":"2025-12-25T06:20:05","slug":"ap-source-nuggets-cam-johnson-avoids-major-knee-injury","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/367508\/","title":{"rendered":"AP Source: Nuggets&#8217; Cam Johnson avoids major knee injury"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>DENVER \u2014 The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/basketball\/nba\/teams\/denver-nuggets\/\" class=\"sn-team-post-link\" target=\"_self\" data-team=\"denver-nuggets\" data-league=\"nba\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Denver Nuggets<\/a> got good news Wednesday when an MRI revealed that forward <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsnet.ca\/basketball\/nba\/players\/cameron-johnson\/2fe5b749-7bd4-4dbc-acfb-6d675f541e37\" class=\"sn-player-post-link\" target=\"_self\" data-player=\"2fe5b749-7bd4-4dbc-acfb-6d675f541e37\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Cameron Johnson<\/a> suffered only a bone bruise to his right knee and not any ligament or structural damage, according to a person familiar with the medical test results.<\/p>\n<p>The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the team didn&#8217;t announce the results of Johnson&#8217;s MRI.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson got hurt early in the fourth quarter of\u00a0Denver&#8217;s 131-130 loss at Dallas\u00a0on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n<p>There isn&#8217;t a timetable for his return but Johnson is expected to miss a few games.
