Hollywood icon Drew Barrymore<\/a> is embracing her fine lines as she prepares to turn 51.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The star grew up in front of the camera after launching her acting career as a young girl, and is now in a new era of her life as a talk show host.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Now, with her birthday less than two months away, Barrymore is sharing a message with followers that goes more than skin deep.\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

On Tuesday, she displayed her bare, make-up free complexion in a video that showcased her stunning face, fine lines and all.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Aging is a privilege. It is not something to fear,’ she wrote in the video.<\/p>\n

Indeed, Barrymore did not shy away from displaying her stunning, au natural complexion – even zooming in to show off her various lines.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Chef Carla Hall commented: ‘Those beautiful laugh and smile lines are EVERYTHING!!’\u00a0<\/p>\n

It’s not the first time Barrymore has gotten candid with fans about getting older.<\/p>\n

She opened up about\u00a0coming to grips with the little lines on her face earlier this year on her talk show.<\/p>\n

‘Can you let us know your secret to aging gracefully and being so comfortable in your own skin?’ a woman in the audience asked.<\/p>\n

Barrymore admitted she hadn’t ‘done anything’ and intends on keeping it that way.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘I haven’t done anything and I want to try and stay that way,’ she told the crowd.<\/p>\n

‘But I also am like, do whatever works for you. The only thing I do know is don’t judge other people because they do things differently,’ she explained.<\/p>\n

As for being self-confident, Barrymore said ‘I want to tell myself not to be so mean to myself.’<\/p>\n

‘How many beautiful moments do we even get the privilege of seeing our reflection and that person looking back at us is us?’ she asked.<\/p>\n

‘So the kinder, more patient, more resilient, more loving, embracing, less dismissive that we can be, the better it is for our mental game and spiritual game, which affects the face.’<\/p>\n
