There is a clear number one for Saskatchewan Roughriders\u2019 president Craig Reynolds as his favourite moment from the 2025 CFL season.<\/p>\n
“The Grey Cup, I wish I could relive that Sunday other than the stress of the fourth quarter, but I wish I could relive that Grey Cup Sunday over and over again,” Reynolds said on the SportsCage. “Seeing the guys celebrate that\u00a0way,\u00a0accomplish that goal — it’s so special\u00a0in Saskatchewan.”<\/p>\n
Saskatchewan defeated the Montreal Alouettes 25-17 in the 112th Grey Cup, and after the game, Trevor Harris was named\u00a0the Grey Cup MVP<\/a>. The other times\u00a0the Riders won the Grey Cup were in 1966, 1989, 2007 and 2013.<\/p>\n Reynolds\u00a0has two Grey Cup wins on his resume, the first came in 2013 when\u00a0he was Saskatchewan’s vice-president and chief financial officer. The win against Montreal was his first as president and CEO of the team.<\/p>\n Going down the list, Reynolds shared his other favourite moments for the Riders this year.<\/p>\n “Labour Day is always special when you get that win, but other than the Grey Cup, that West Final, that last clutch drive, needing to score a touchdown to send yourself to the Grey Cup,” Reynolds said. “Tommy Nield’s catch\u00a0and the roar of the crowd, that’s the thing I’ll never forget.”<\/p>\n This season, the Riders defeated the Winnipeg Blue Bombers in the annual Labour Day Classic 34-30 <\/a>in Week 13. The following week, Saskatchewan\u00a0travelled to take on the Bombers for the rematch and won 21-13<\/a>.<\/p>\n As for the West Final, the Green and White defeated the B.C. Lions 24-21<\/a>. At the end of the game, the Riders’ offence scored and went ahead with 12 seconds remaining when Trevor Harris threw a three-yard touchdown to Nield.<\/p>\n
