On the last weekend before the Christmas holiday, Muhammad went down in defeat by way of technical fall to David Carr (49-16.) Carr is a tough customer in the shop.<\/p>\n<p>Back in October during RAF 2, he won the battle for the inaugural RAF Welterweight (165 lbs) Championship via decision versus Amr Reda. When it comes to Belal Muhammad\u2019s longtime foe, Colby Covington, he\u2019ll be appearing on the Jan. 10 RAF 5 in the main event on FOX Nation versus Luke Rockhold.<br \/><a id=\"q1sVlh4ETeVc3UlL_Xlj2w\" class=\"gie-single\" style=\"color: #a7a7a7; text-decoration: none; font-weight: normal !important; border: none; display: inline-block;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gettyimages.com\/detail\/2164000814\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Embed from Getty Images<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Belal Muhammad Discusses Carr Match on YouTube Christmas Eve<\/p>\n<p>On his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0USfY2oaGS0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">YouTube<\/a> channel Wednesday,\u00a0Belal Muhammad talked about his defeat in RAF 4 last Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was a great time even though it wasn\u2019t a W,\u201d Belal Muhammad said of his match with David Carr. \u201cWe\u2019re going against the best guy in the world. Shoutout to RAF for putting on an amazing show. The staff, the people, honestly, the fans in Fishers, IN were great.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Muhammad also acknowledged how challenging it was to face his most recent adversary on the mat. At the same time, however, \u201cRemember the Name\u201d mentioned that there\u2019s nothing that could keep him away from the combative disciplines.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was definitely different,\u201d he said. \u201cIt was definitely harder. We haven\u2019t put a singlet on since high school, but, man, I love challenges. I love competition, I love competing. When you don\u2019t have a fight in the book and you could still compete in either grappling or wrestling, I\u2019m going to do it. I\u2019m going to take any chance, and I\u2019m going to try to go against the best guys in the world. David Carr is the best guy in the world right now, the champion, so it wasn\u2019t an easy task and we knew that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Will Belal Muhammad vs. Colby Covington be Next in RAF?<\/p>\n<p>While Colby Covington\u2019s plans for the weekend of Jan. 10 are set in stone with his match against Luke Rockhold in RAF 5 in Sunrise, FL,<a href=\"https:\/\/mmajunkie.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/ufc\/2025\/12\/25\/belal-muhammad-wants-colby-covington-raf-wrestling-match\/87913189007\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> Belal Muhammad is eager to meet up with \u201cChaos\u201d on the wrestling mat at a future date.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou live and you learn,\u201d he continued. \u201cHopefully, they give me another shot. Hopefully, [next time,] we\u2019ll get an easier guy. We\u2019ve got, what\u2019s his name? Colby Covington. He\u2019s going against Rockhold in Miami in January. Maybe we\u2019ll be there. Maybe we\u2019ll get the winner of that one.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When comparing Carr to Covington, Belal Muhammad fired a vicious shot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat was the best guy in the world,\u201d he said of champion David Carr. \u201cWe did well against him. We\u2019ll see what we do against the trash of the division, Colby.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Belal Muhammad Wasted Little Time Creating Bulletin Board Material<\/p>\n<p>While we\u2019ll have to wait to see whether or not the matchmakers at RAF do, indeed, eventually book Belal Muhammad vs. Colby Covington at some point in the upcoming new year, if this does end up taking place, it\u2019ll be a long time coming. Muhammad has been known to stir the pot when it comes to Colby Covington in the past.<\/p>\n<p>Four years ago this week, for instance, he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=JGeabR9CJfs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">appeared on TMZ Sports<\/a> and said that he wanted nothing more in the world than to defeat Colby Covington.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf they give me the Colby fight, if Colby mans up [and] wants it, I\u2019ll do that one, too,\u201d he mentioned at the time. He\u2019s fought for the title twice, lost for the title twice. I just want to keep this two-fight loss streak going for these guys.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The battle lines for Belal Muhammad and Colby Covington have been drawn one more time. While Covington will fight on Jan. 10, will he eventually meet Muhammad? Only time will
