The reality TV star, 34 \u2014 whose experience as a victim of\u00a0Munchausen by proxy<\/a>\u00a0made national headlines \u2014 and her boyfriend shared on January 1, 2025, that they had welcomed their daughter, whose full name is\u00a0Aurora Raina Urker<\/a>.<\/p>\n Urker revealed the news in January by posting a snap of the new mom cradling their baby to Instagram<\/a> with the caption, “Welcoming 2025 with the greatest gift of all \ud83d\udc7c.”<\/p>\n Never miss a story \u2014 sign up for\u00a0PEOPLE’s free daily newsletter<\/a>\u00a0to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer\u200b\u200b, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Blanchard and Urker met as pen pals while she was\u00a0serving time in prison<\/a>\u00a0for her role in the killing of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, and were briefly engaged in October 2018 before eventually\u00a0calling it off<\/a>. They reunited in August 2019, but split again and didn\u2019t reconnect romantically until April 2024.<\/p>\n In September, the Lifetime alum told PEOPLE in an exclusive interview that she was open to having another baby as she would love to give her little girl a baby brother. But her plans haven’t been set in stone yet \u2014 and she’ll have to do\u00a0in vitro fertilization (IVF) this time around<\/a>, she shared.<\/p>\n “As of right now, we have not made any solidified plans. We hope to do IVF sometime in the near future, but right now all our focus is on Aurora,” Blanchard explained. “As for IVF, it’s a way to ensure that I do not pass on my genetic condition of\u00a0microdeletion 1q21.1.<\/a>“<\/p>\n Gypsy-Rose Blanchard\/Instagram<\/p>\n Blanchard and Urker with Aurora.<\/p>\n Although Blanchard said at the time that she and Urker have been thinking about adding another little one, the two aren’t planning on getting pregnant in the next few months.<\/p>\n “Possibly the middle of next year,” Blanchard says of when they might have another baby. “That’ll give us time to settle into these new changes. Ken has a new career field that he entered.”<\/p>\n Blanchard added that while they’re still adjusting to Urker’s new schedule, she doesn’t want to add the pressure of having another new baby.<\/p>\n “I think we just want to have a little bit of an age gap, but not too big. They run bloodwork and analysis to let you know what your fertility looks like.
