Kensington, workers at <a href=\"http:\/\/flippnburgers.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Flipp\u2019n Burgers<\/a> fired up the grill bright and early for what\u2019s become an annual tradition at the restaurant on Christmas Eve.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/1765485674_689_70c8fc80.png\" alt=\"\" style=\"position:absolute;width:1px;height:1px\" referrerpolicy=\"no-referrer-when-downgrade\"\/><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe grill was fired up around 6-6:15 a.m. and it hasn\u2019t stopped since,\u201d laughed Jorgji Qiro, manager of Flipp\u2019n Burgers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was my dad and uncle\u2019s idea to begin with and we started seven years ago\u2026 and they just wanted to give back to the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tFlipp\u2019n Burgers made two donations of 400-burgers to the Calgary Drop-In Centre and the Mustard Seed.\t\t\t\t <\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tDrew Stremick \/ Global News\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>They were busy preparing two donations of nearly 400 burgers each for the Calgary Drop-In Centre, as well as the Mustard Seed.<\/p>\n<p>Story continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEvery year their number changes depending on how many people they have,\u201d Qiro explained. \u201cThis year was like 390 for the Mustard Seed, and then 400 for the (Calgary) Drop-In (Centre).\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tAnyone who came through their doors could get a free burger.\t\t\t\t <\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tDrew Stremick \/ Global News\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>Besides that, a sign out front welcomes any and every passerby to pop in for a burger on the house.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" width=\"170\" height=\"225\" loading=\"lazy\" the seventh year they\u2019ve handed out free burgers on Christmas Eve.\t\t\t\t <\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\tDrew Stremick \/ Global News\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>While picking up burgers, Eric McComish, community impact supervisor with the Mustard Seed, told Global News the annual donation from Flipp\u2019n Burgers means a lot to those who frequent the Mustard Seed and their staff.<\/p>\n<p>Story continues below advertisement<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe do a lot of soup and sandwiches, so having a really awesome burger is just a nice change.\u201d McComish remarked.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt also takes a lot of pressure
