{"id":371293,"date":"2025-12-27T03:30:07","date_gmt":"2025-12-27T03:30:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/371293\/"},"modified":"2025-12-27T03:30:07","modified_gmt":"2025-12-27T03:30:07","slug":"daniel-ricciardo-goes-flying-in-raptor-rally-madness","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/371293\/","title":{"rendered":"Daniel Ricciardo goes flying in raptor rally madness"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gpblog.com\/en\/f1-drivers\/daniel-ricciardo\" title=\"Daniel Ricciardo\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Daniel Ricciardo<\/a> recently swapped asphalt for sand as he embarked on a new adventure with Ford Motorsport.The former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gpblog.com\/en\/formula-1\" title=\"Formula 1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Formula 1<\/a> driver took part in a rally experience behind the wheel of the Ford F-150 Raptor.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.gpblog.com\/en\/general\/daniel-ricciardo-reaffirms-ties-to-motorsport-and-takes-on-role-at-ford\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> Ricciardo, who has signed on as an ambassador for the American manufacturer,<\/a> headed to Lake Havasu in Arizona to participate in the Raptor Rally.The former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gpblog.com\/en\/f1-teams\/red-bull-racing\" title=\"Red Bull Racing\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Red Bull Racing<\/a> driver completed several sand challenges, including going airborne with the rally car, among many other endeavours.<\/p>\n<p>Following the conclusion of what appeared to be a fun outing for the Australian, Ricciardo shared his thoughts on the outing with Ford at the Arizona event.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"280\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/20240922-0732-68c47595986ed.jpg@webp.webp\" class=\"w-auto h-auto\" alt=\"daniel-ricciardo-smiling-jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p>Daniel Ricciardo &#8211; Photo: Race Pictures<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was pretty awesome. I jumped my truck, and then I got driven by some pros, some off-roader pros, with Lauren and Mitch. I was pretty scared, but it was really fun. I hadn&#8217;t done anything like that before,\u201d Ricciardo began.<\/p>\n<p>The eight-time Grand Prix winner continued by highlighting how special the Raptor car is and the strong sense of community surrounding the event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe finished the day with everyone from the rally, and I think what the community&#8217;s built is really awesome. I think what\u2019s made Raptor special is the people, and days like this, it\u2019s really nice to be a part of that,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Ricciardo called time on racing after he was axed by the Racing Bulls team following the conclusion of the Singapore Grand Prix.
