The Bold and the Beautiful is pitting Brooke and Katie against one another again, but not over a man this time. On the contrary, the siblings are now vying for the use of their surname, Logan. And based on the promo that CBS just dropped for the week of December 29-January 2, things are about to get even uglier than Brooke implying that Katie just wanted to \u201csponge\u201d off of her reputation. (As if!)<\/p>\n

As you\u2019ll see in the video below, Bill\u2019s \u201cmissus\u201d shrugs off Brooke\u2019s claim to the moniker, sniffing that Logan is nothing more than Ridge\u2019s pet name for his on-again\/off-again destiny. Snide remarks notwithstanding, Brooke and Ridge are sure that they have they upper hand in the fight; Forrester Creations apparently holds a trademark on the word \u201cLogan.\u201d<\/p>\n

That is, Forrester Creations did at one time hold a trademark on \u201cLogan.\u201d But somewhere along the line, maybe when Ridge was ping-ponging between Brooke and Taylor for the zillionth time or pushing his father out of the company he founded, he forgot to renew the license.<\/p>\n

Translation: Katie can go ahead and start practicing her cat-that-swallowed-the-canary grin, because as Liam informs her and Bill, \u201cLogan\u201d is up for grabs. Also on tap for the first week of the new year, the mystifying Dillon story continues. In the December 26 episode (recapped here<\/a>), Will got a peek at the young woman\u2019s car and deduced that she was living out of it. Without revealing to her what he\u2019d surmised, he asked her to spend the night in the apartment adjacent to the beach house. Coming up, we glimpse Dillon watching a shirtless Will from her window.<\/p>\n

Is Hayes\u2019 teacher just grateful to Electra\u2019s boyfriend for doing her a kindness? Or could we be heading for another obsession storyline? We\u2019d love to say that nah, Bold & Beautiful wouldn\u2019t go straight from Luna being fixated on Will to Dillon being fixated on him. But then again, the show did go from Li sneaking Finn\u2019s body out of the hospital to her sneaking Luna\u2019s body out. Bold & Beautiful loves a redo.<\/p>\n
