At the time, he replaced Rasmus Hojlund in the 4-2 win over Sheffield United.<\/p>\n<p>The striker earned a permanent promotion to the first team last summer, but Ruben Amorim dropped him from the squad <a href=\"https:\/\/strettynews.com\/2024\/11\/01\/manchester-united-appoint-ruben-amorim\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">upon his arrival in Novembe<\/a>r. The teenager instead featured for Man Utd U21, bagging six goals in nine appearances in the Premier League 2.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/strettynews.com\/2025\/01\/25\/ethan-wheatley-joins-walsall\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wheatley then joined Walsall on loan<\/a> in January.
