Conor McGregor<\/a>\u2019s appeal has reportedly been denied in a civil sexual assault case.<\/p>\n

According to the BBC<\/a>, and multiple other news outlets, three senior judges at the Court of Appeal in Dublin dismissed the appeal \u201con all grounds.\u201d The former two-division UFC champ was found liable of sexual assault in a civil trial filed against him this past November.<\/p>\n

McGregor was accused of sexually assaulting Nakita Hand in a Dublin hotel in 2018, and after the jury handed down their verdict, McGregor was ordered to pay Hand \u00a3206,000 ($271,742.84). <\/p>\n

Following the verdict, McGregor said he would appeal the decision, citing he was \u201cdisappointed that the jury did not hear all the evidence that the DPP reviewed.\u201d According to the BBC, McGregor\u2019s appeal stemmed from his attorneys feeling his answers during interviews with police \u201cshould not have been put before the jury.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the trial, Hand claimed that she later told a friend that McGregor \u201craped and battered\u201d her in the alleged incident at the Beacon Hotel penthouse suite in Sandyford, Dublin. <\/p>\n

McGregor would testify that the acts were consensual, and the sex was \u201cathletic, physical,\u201d but denied assaulting Hand, and then telling Hand\u2019s attorney that \u201ceverything is a lie.\u201d<\/p>\n
