The story follows Ali, whose life unravels when his girlfriend Lilia disappears without warning on the night he plans to propose.<\/p>\n \n\tCANADA: \u2018Flesh\u2019 (David Szalay<\/a>)<\/p>\n \n\tFILM: This is very early stages but is too good not to include. David Szalay\u2019s \u2018Flesh\u2019 won the Booker Prize, the world\u2019s most significant award for a single work of fiction. We scooped the news<\/a> that Conclave prodco House Productions, BBC Film and Access are adapting the novel, which follows Istv\u00e1n from adolescence to old age.<\/p>\n \n\tFRANCE: \u2018Lucky Luke\u2019 (Morris and Goscinny)<\/p>\n \n\tSERIES: Disney+ is readying a live-action take on \u2018Lucky Luke\u2019, the classic Morris and Goscinny comic book series. Alban Lenoir plays the titular cowboy \u201cwho shoots faster than his shadow.\u201d The France-produced series lands in Spring 2026.<\/p>\n \n\tGERMANY: \u2018Momo\u2019 (Michael Ende)<\/p>\n \n\tFILM: From the author of \u2018The Neverending Story\u2019, the film adaptation of \u2018Momo<\/a>\u2019 will star Martin Freeman, Alexa Goodall, Claes Bang and Laura Haddock. The movie of the book drops on Prime Video in 2026.<\/p>\n \n\tINDIA: \u2018Revolutionaries: The Other Story Of How India Won Its Freedom\u2019 (Sanjeev Sanyal)<\/p>\n \n\tSERIES: The Revolutionaries will follow Indian freedom fighters taking on the British Raj. Set in Dublin, it follows the tight-knit and chaotic Casey Clan.<\/p>\n \n\tJAPAN: \u2018Faking Beethoven: The Great Producer Lies\u2019 (Shiho Kagehara)<\/p>\n \n\tFILM: Faking Beethoven is a Prime Video movie adaptation of Kagehara\u2019s nonfiction tome that delves into a musical scandal in 19th-century Vienna.
