Man attempts building his own DIY Apple Watch <\/p>\n
We\u2019ve seen people craft their own Chinese mock-ups of Apple products<\/a> using parts sourced on online marketplaces.<\/p>\n However, they\u2019ve all fallen short of the real deal<\/a>, whether that be through major hardware tells, or the user interface being sloppy.<\/p>\n While in Shenzen, this creator had access to the world\u2019s smartest products and collaborated with a team to build the hardware of an Apple Watch as true to the real thing as possible. <\/p>\n Documented on YouTube, the man partnered with a team called Nest Works to reverse-engineer the leading tech product<\/a> to combine an aluminum frame, battery, and screen, before sourcing a working logic board.<\/p>\n Quite effortlessly, with help from 3D printers and some clever machinery, the casing and strapping for the watch was formed, and the pieces slipped into place like a glove.<\/p>\n However, without a working watch yet, they ran out of time.<\/p>\n Instead, Strange Parts had to ship the final shell home to continue working on it there. <\/p>\n Back in the US, using Apple\u2019s iFixit guide, he configured the logic board and constructed what he hoped to be a fully-functioning smartwatch.<\/p>\n Did it work?<\/p>\n The end product was a resounding success.<\/p>\n Not only did the interface look exactly like that Apple Watch you\u2019d get directly from the store, the apps, such as the heart rate monitor, worked seamlessly.<\/p>\n So, why was this all necessary?<\/p>\n Well, he claims it\u2019s all about where he can take the product next.<\/p>\n \u201cThis project wasn\u2019t just about building this watch, it\u2019s about building the next one that has some cool modification or is made out of some new material,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cDoing this is the stepping stone to the final version.\u201d<\/p>\n![\"After](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/Apple-Watch-Fake-China-Build-1024x640.webp.webp\")
