\n But with the new year now fast approaching, the search for Camila Mendoza Olmos is still underway, with dozens of volunteers helping throughout the holiday weekend, and the Bexar County Sheriff\u2019s Office says she may be in imminent danger.\n <\/p>\n
\n \u201cI miss her. Daddy\u2019s waiting for her at home,\u201d her father, Alfonso Mendoza, told CNN affiliate KSAT<\/a> as more members of the community lined up with maps and a drone to try to solve the mysterious disappearance.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cWe\u2019ve had basically boots on the ground from the sheriff\u2019s office since the day of the incident,\u201d Sheriff Javier Salazar told CNN\u2019s Omar Jimenez on Monday. \u201cDeputies and investigators working through the holidays, basically around the clock.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n Mendoza Olmos was last seen on a neighbor\u2019s surveillance camera just before 7 a.m. on Christmas Eve outside her house. After she is seen looking inside her vehicle, the footage ends, according to<\/a> the sheriff\u2019s office, and there is no clear sign of where she went.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cAs a Ring camera, it stops when it stops detecting motion,\u201d Camila Estrella, one of Mendoza Olmos\u2019 best friends, told CNN affiliate WOAI<\/a>. \u201cThat\u2019s all we saw of her, just opening the back of her car door. \u2026 We have nothing to trace her with.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n Mendoza Olmos is seen<\/a> on the video wearing a sweater and pajama shorts. Family members and investigators say they\u2019re not sure why she was looking inside the car. Since the vehicle was left behind, they believe she left the neighborhood on foot.\n <\/p>\n \n The trail left for investigators to follow is confusing. Mendoza Olmos appears to have had her car keys with her when she disappeared, even though she didn\u2019t take the car.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cOne of the things that was very strange in this case is that the young lady left behind her cellphone,\u201d Salazar told CNN.\n <\/p>\n \n The notice of Mendoza Olmos\u2019 disappearance was issued as a CLEAR Alert<\/a>. In Texas, that requires investigators to believe that the missing person \u201cis in imminent danger of bodily injury or death\u201d or the disappearance is \u201cinvoluntary such as an abduction or kidnapping,\u201d according to<\/a> the Texas Department of Public Safety.\n <\/p>\n \n Asked why his office believes she might be in imminent danger, Salazar told CNN \u201cthere\u2019s some information I can\u2019t divulge \u2026 due to the sensitivity of it.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cWe consider imminent danger to be anything from self-harm all the way through someone actually kidnapping Camila, and all of those possibilities exist at present,\u201d said Salazar, noting that the missing woman had previously spoken of suicide. \u201cWe can\u2019t rule anything out at this point in the investigation.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n Her mother told CNN affiliate KWEX<\/a> she doesn\u2019t think her daughter would voluntarily leave with a stranger.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cCami\u2019s not like that,\u201d Olmos said. \u201cCami is very careful.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n Without a cellphone to monitor her movements, investigators are looking for other evidence of where Mendoza Olmos may have gone, Salazar told CNN.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cThe FBI and Homeland Security have been helping us out with intel gathering,\u201d he said. \u201cThings like outbound flights, border crossings, things like that.\u201d\n <\/p>\n \n As the news of Mendoza Olmos\u2019 disappearance spread across the community, the search efforts have grown more intense.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cWe\u2019ve gone day and night, scraping our legs, not eating, just helping,\u201d Estrella told WOAI.\n <\/p>\n \n And with local investigators working \u201cbasically around the clock\u201d to find Camila, according to Salazar, her mother is asking for prayers that her holiday will end with joy.\n <\/p>\n \n \u201cPlease bring her back to us, or if my girl is watching, come back.
