The Giants don\u2019t feel like a team that\u2019s going to make a move just to make one. If San Francisco adds this winter, it\u2019s likely going to be something that fits with what\u2019s already in place, not a massive blockbuster out of nowhere.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why Brendan Donovan continues to show up in trade ideas tied to the Giants.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s not a star, but he\u2019s truly one of the more underrated players in baseball and would help the Giants.<\/p>\n

Ryan Phillips of SI proposed an intriguing trade that would move on from decent prospects, but it might be worth it.<\/p>\n

Cardinals receive:
\u2013 2B\/SS Gavin Kilen (Giants\u2019 No. 3 prospect)
\u2013 OF Dakota Jordan (No. 6)
\u2013 SP Blade Tidwell (No. 13)<\/p>\n

\u201cDonovan fits a Giants lineup built around Devers, Willy Adames and Matt Chapman. In 2025, he slashed .287\/.353\/.422 with a wRC+ of 119. The 28-year-old is under team control through the 2027 season, so he\u2019d be unpacking his bags and helping San Francisco make multiple runs.<\/p>\n
