Draymond Green is confused about the NFL\u2019s MVP picture heading into the final week of the 2025 NFL season.<\/p>\n

The Golden State Warriors<\/a> star noticed that most sportsbooks have shifted their MVP odds in favor of New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye.<\/p>\n

The decision came after Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams dropped their matchup against the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football. Despite the loss, Green isn\u2019t convinced that Maye should be the favorite heading into the final week.<\/p>\n

\u201cStafford still has 12 more TD passes than Drake Maye and now the same amount of interceptions\u2026 MVP,\u201d Green said on Threads<\/a>, in defense of the California-based quarterback.<\/p>\n

Monday night was a game to forget for Stafford. The veteran quarterback threw for 269 yards, two touchdowns, and three interceptions. All game long, the Rams were playing from behind. A comeback was teased, but it ultimately failed.<\/p>\n

Recency bias favors Maye, who just dominated the New York Jets. By throwing for 256 yards, Maye tossed five touchdowns and didn\u2019t turn the ball over in the air at all.<\/p>\n

The Patriots hold a 13-3 record heading into the final week. Maye has completed over 70 percent of his passes for over 4,200 yards, 30 touchdowns, and just eight interceptions.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Rams have slipped to 11-5 on the season. Stafford has completed 65 percent of his passes, while throwing for 4,448 yards, 42 touchdowns, and eight interceptions.<\/p>\n

Green has an argument. With one week left in the regular season, the picture could see another flip before the playoffs approach. However, for the time being, Maye seems to be getting more love from the NFL world.
