After more than a decade of attempts, under coach Luis Enrique, they won the UEFA Champions League for the first time\u2014the most prestigious club tournament in Europe. However, they have now been hit with a sanction for incidents that occurred during the final against Inter Milan.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/worldsoccertalk.com\/tag\/uefa\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"UEFA\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">UEFA<\/a> announced on Thursday that PSG must pay \u20ac148,000 (over $170,000) in fines related to four different infractions during the decisive match held at the Allianz Arena in Munich on May 31, where they defeated the Italian side 5\u20130.<\/p>\n<p>The disciplinary panel fined PSG \u20ac100,000 due to pitch invasions by French fans during the post-match title celebrations, along with the use of flares inside the stadium.<\/p>\n<p>Another offense deemed serious by Europe\u2019s soccer governing body involved the display of a flag in the stands with the message \u201cUEFA Mafia.\u201d This was condemned for \u201ctransmitting message that is not fit for a sports event\u201d and \u201cbringing UEFA into disrepute,\u201d resulting in a \u20ac10,000 fine.<\/p>\n<p>   <img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"i-amphtml-intrinsic-sizer\" role=\"presentation\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyBoZWlnaHQ9IjY3NSIgd2lkdGg9IjEyMDAiIHhtbG5zPSJodHRwOi8vd3d3LnczLm9yZy8yMDAwL3N2ZyIgdmVyc2lvbj0iMS4xIi8+\"\/> Achraf Hakimi of Paris Saint-Germain celebrates scoring his team\u2019s first goal with teammate Ousmane Dembele during the UEFA Champions League Final 2025 vs FC Internazionale Milano.   <\/p>\n<p>Additional infractions included the throwing of objects onto the field from the stands (\u20ac30,000) and \u201cacts of damage\u201d (\u20ac8,000). The total amount exceeds $170,000\u2014but that figure seems minor compared to the estimated $160 million PSG earned by winning the tournament, according to ESPN.<\/p>\n<p>  PSG must avoid future incidents <\/p>\n<p>In addition to the financial penalty, UEFA imposed a further restriction for Paris Saint-Germain\u2019s next European away match: a ban on selling tickets to their own supporters. This was set to take effect for the UEFA Super Cup match against Europa League champions Tottenham, scheduled for Wednesday, August 13 in Udine.<\/p>\n<p>However, UEFA has suspended the enforcement of that sanction for the next two years. That means PSG will avoid the restriction for now\u2014provided no similar incidents occur over the next 24 months.<\/p>\n<p> Trophies PSG can still win after conquering Europe <\/p>\n<p>Winning their first-ever <a href=\"https:\/\/worldsoccertalk.com\/tag\/champions-league\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"UEFA Champions League\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">UEFA Champions League<\/a> title opens up a wide range of opportunities for PSG this season. Their first shot at another major honor will come in the UEFA Super Cup against Tottenham Hotspur\u2014another trophy they\u2019ve never won.<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s not all. From December 13 to 17, PSG will also compete for the first time in the FIFA Intercontinental Cup, a tournament that brings together the champions of the six continental soccer confederations.<\/p>\n<p>PSG will represent Europe and go straight into the final. Their confirmed opponents so far include Cruz Azul from Mexico, Al Ahli from Saudi Arabia, Pyramids from Egypt, and Auckland City from New Zealand.
