Tony Khan<\/a> has finally broken his silence on Cody Rhodes<\/a>\u2018 comments that he felt disrespected while working at AEW.<\/p>\n

All Elite Wrestling<\/a> President Tony Khan recently spoke with Q101<\/a>. When asked about Cody Rhodes\u2019 comments on the Bill Simmons podcast<\/a>, where he said it\u2019s one thing to feel disrespected while in WWE<\/a> because they are \u201cthe Yankees\u201d, but to feel disrespected during his time in AEW, a company he and his friends helped build, he wouldn\u2019t stand for it. Khan offered a very levelheaded response to Cody\u2019s comments.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, he does a lot of interviews,\u201d Tony Khan began. \u201cAnd I think when you have to say so many words, so often, because he worked so hard, he works such a big schedule. To his credit, I bet he does hundreds of interviews a year, and I\u2019m not sure I agree with that. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut I also would give him the benefit of the doubt, that I\u2019ve heard him say a lot of positive things, too. And for somebody that doesn\u2019t work here and that\u2019s involved in the competitive promotion, he\u2019s usually pretty gracious with the things he says. <\/p>\n

Tony Khan has seen Cody Rhodes since his AEW departure<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I\u2019ve seen him since he\u2019s been gone, and it\u2019s always been very positive and good. I have only good things to say about him and his contributions here\u2026 So I\u2019m very happy with where things are at. And I wish everybody who\u2019s left here the best, including Cody. I think he\u2019s done a lot of great things, and I wish him the best.\u201d<\/p>\n
