despite never having hit the track yet\" class=\"wp-image-167934\"   style=\"border-radius: 10px;\"\/><\/a>McLaren<\/p>\n<p>Overall, McLaren managed to win 14 of the 24 races on the 2025 F1 calendar.<\/p>\n<p>Attention will now shift to the defence of its newly won crown in 2026.<\/p>\n<p>And some major rule changes are coming into play as well.<\/p>\n<p>Next season will see chassis and engine regulations overhauled simultaneously.<\/p>\n<p>The F1 grid will also switch to 50 percent electrification, as well as fully sustainable fuels and active aerodynamics.<\/p>\n<p>McLaren\u2019s 2026 F1 car has already been sold<\/p>\n<p>Back in August, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.planetf1.com\/news\/mclaren-announces-world-first-with-f1-2026-car-pre-sale\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"PlanetF1\" style=\"color: #0074ff;\">PlanetF1<\/a> reported something quite remarkable.<\/p>\n<p>The outlet reported that McLaren was set to host a pre-sale of some of its cars.<\/p>\n<p>Among the cars available in the auction would be the upcoming F1 car for 2026.<\/p>\n<p>And the MCL40A did indeed sell earlier this month \u2013 and for a whopping sum.<\/p>\n<p>The soon-to-be defending champion car sold for a total price of $11,480,000.<\/p>\n<p>That makes it the sixth-most expensive F1 car ever to be sold at auction.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/supercarblondie.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/mclaren-racing-auction.webp\" style=\"color: #0074ff;\" data-lightbox=\"171383\" data-title=\"McLaren\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"100%\" height=\"200\" data-id=\"171413\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/12\/mclaren-racing-auction-1024x682.webp.webp\" alt=\"McLaren's 2026 F1 car has already been sold at auction -
