Several of the Formula 1 team chiefs have chosen their top 10 drivers for the 2025 season.<\/p>\n

McLaren’s Andrea Stella, Mercedes’ Toto Wolff, Williams’s James Vowles, Racing Bulls’ Alan Permane, Haas’s Ayao Komatsu, Sauber’s Jonathan Wheatley, Alpine’s Steve Nielsen and Aston Martin’s senior leadership teams took part in the task.<\/p>\n

F1 has asked the team principals to share their top 10 rankings at the end of the season for a number of years. The drivers’ points are then combined to form the final list.<\/p>\n

Interestingly, it was four-time champion Max Verstappen<\/a> who topped the list for the fifth consecutive year, with 2025 drivers’ champion Lando Norris<\/a> in second.<\/p>\n

In the early stages of the season, it looked as though the drivers’ championship was going to sit between McLaren’s Norris and his team-mate Oscar Piastri<\/a>. While Norris had a strong comeback after the summer break, recording more consistent performances in comparison to his team-mate, a late-season surge from Verstappen saw him close in on the title.<\/p>\n

The championship battle went down to wire at the season finale in Abu Dhabi. Verstappen took the race win, but with Norris finishing third, the Dutchman ended second in the drivers’ standings with just two points separating the two drivers. Piastri finished the championship in third.<\/p>\n

Finalising the top 10 from the team chief rankings were Piastri, George Russell<\/a>, Fernando Alonso<\/a>, Carlos Sainz<\/a>, Charles Leclerc<\/a>, Oliver Bearman<\/a>, Isack Hadjar<\/a> and Nico Hulkenberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Seven-time champion Lewis Hamilton<\/a> didn’t make the list at all this year after his move to Ferrari<\/a> left a lot to be desired as he worked to adjust to the Maranello outfit.<\/p>\n
