\n\tAndy Cohen<\/a> and Anderson Cooper<\/a> are chiming in on Heated Rivalry, Canadian streamer Crave and HBO Max\u2019s gay hockey series that became a surprise breakout hit<\/a> at the end of 2025.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe beloved pair reunited on Wednesday to host their booze-fueled annual special,\u00a0New Year\u2019s Eve Live, on CNN<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tAt one point during the special, Cooper admitted he felt a little strange about sleeping in Cohen\u2019s bed that The Real Housewives\u00a0franchise producer seemingly gave to him. \u201cJust the bed frame. I didn\u2019t give you the mattress,\u201d Cohen clarified. \u201cI thought it made us closer, like better brothers.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAs the two hosts bickered (very typical of the longtime friends), a laughing Cooper replied, \u201cThis isn\u2019t Heated Rivalry.\u201d He was referencing the megahit series that centers on two rival hockey stars, Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie) and Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams), who face an unexpected challenge when they develop feelings for each other, complicating their careers and the sport\u2019s expectations.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOhhh Heated Rivalry,\u201d Cohen said with a laugh before beginning to ask who of them would be the show leads, Ilya and Shane. However, he quickly answered his own question. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cOf the two of us, you\u2019re Ilya and I\u2019m Shane,\u201d Cohen confidently stated. But Cooper seemed a bit confused by that assumption, replying, \u201cWhat?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThis wasn\u2019t the only time Cohen brought up the Jacob Tierney-created series<\/a> during New Year\u2019s Eve Live. Later in the night, while chatting with Grammy winner Brandi Carlile, the Watch What Happens Live host asked, \u201cDo lesbians give a damn about the Canadian hockey gay romance series, Heated Rivalry?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s all I can think about. It\u2019s all I can think about. I can\u2019t even sleep at night without thinking about [the show],\u201d Carlile quipped as Cooper burst out in laughter, nearly falling over.<\/p>\n
