He was ruled out of the rematch against the Argonauts with the release of Wednesday\u2019s injury report. Collaros did not return for the third quarter in the Blue Bombers\u2019 31-17 loss at BMO Field last Saturday. \u00a0<\/p>\n Streveler says executing the staples of offensive football should put the club in a position to lighten the post-game mood. The list of correctable faux pas is lengthy. \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cWe have to get production on first down,\u201d Streveler said, \u2018It is hard (to convert) when you are second and long in this league. We have to get first downs and stay on the field, and we have to finish in the red zone and take care of the football, too. We had too many turnovers last week. Three turnovers last week \u2014 not including turnovers on downs \u2014 and seven in the last three games is the epitome of \u2018way too much.\u2019 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n Streveler also\u00a0got the nod in the season opener against the B.C. Lions. At the time, Collaros was on the one-game suspension list for missing an out-of-season drug test. Streveler tossed for 246 yards and three touchdowns, as the Bombers opened the year with a 34-20 victory.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cI appreciate these opportunities, and it is no different this week,\u201d he said. \u201cAny time I get a chance to step on the field with the guys, I am excited.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n But his excitement this week is tempered with the human side of a game that is violent in nature.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cIt is hard seeing a guy you love and care about, share the same room with, go down (with an injury), but the job is to be ready in those situations and to support him when he is out there and be ready for your opportunity when you are out there,\u201d Streveler said.\u00a0<\/p>\n Advertisement 4<\/p>\n This advertisement has not loaded yet, but your article continues below.<\/p>\n Article content<\/p>\n Last Saturday, Streveler entered the game against Toronto at the start of the third quarter. Collaros also left the Blue Bombers\u2019 game against the Calgary Stampeders two weeks ago after a hit to the chest late in the second quarter.\u00a0<\/p>\n Changes will greet Streveler on the offensive end, as rookie Joey Corcoran gets his first career start in the slot position to the left of Streveler. \u201cCorcoran is a guy willing to do whatever, when his name is called,\u201d Streveler said. \u201cI am excited he is getting his opportunity. He is a young guy who made some plays in the pre-season and had a couple of catches last week. I remember being a young guy in a position like that. He played his college football with the Manitoba Bisons. He appeared in 11 games with the Edmonton Elks last season. He caught seven passes for 94 yards and one touchdown. \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cCobb has been around this league for a little while,\u201d Streveler said. \u201cHe is a guy who is willing to do whatever is asked of him. We have a lot of depth at receiver, we feel good about the guys we have rolling this week, and we are excited about it.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n Finally, Streveler doesn\u2019t care about personal stats or accolades. He cares about one thing: Winning. \u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cWhatever it takes to get it done,\u201d Streveler said. \u201cThat is the mindset going into this game. We have to stay on the field, get yards on first down, and we need some energy.
