We’ve now got even more evidence that it’ll be coming on Samsung’s next flagship device.

Galaxy S26 Ultra will come with a Privacy Display, and here’s how it will work

Traces of code related to Privacy Display have been sitting within internal versions of One UI 8.5 for a while now, as first spotted by Android Authority. Then a UI toggle for the feature was found, by Ach. If that wasn’t enough evidence, now we have one more puzzle piece. The Tips app.

Samsung’s updated Tips app, which teaches users of new features on their device, left a listing for a new feature, hidden away. We used a device that was spoofed as a Galaxy S26 Ultra. This was to trick the app into showing this page.

It shows an animation, revealing that Privacy Display will be located inside of the display section of the Settings app. There will also be a Quick Settings toggle to enable the feature. It can also be triggered automatically based on the app currently open or a notification that pops up.

Take a closer look

Even better, Samsung also gave us an animation showing us how the feature will work. Viewing the phone head on will show the contents on display normally. But viewing it off to the top, bottom, left or right sides will dim the display. This will make it harder for peeping toms to snoop on sensitive information opened on your device, like a banking app or confidential document.

If you didn’t believe it before, you’ll certainly believe it now.
