If you’re already subscribed to ChatGPT Plus, which costs $20, you can request OpenAI to cancel your subscription, and it may offer one month of free usage.<\/p>\n

This change was first spotted by BleepingComputer over the weekend.<\/p>\n

As a Flutter\/Dart developer, I’ve found Claude to be the best for my use cases, and I’ve almost stopped using ChatGPT, which is why I decided to cancel my subscription.<\/p>\n

When I opened ChatGPT and tried to cancel the subscription, OpenAI offered me one month of ChatGPT Plus at no cost.<\/p>\n

The next renewal automatically switched to free ($0\/month), and now I’ll need to pay again after the offer ends (around late Feb 2026).<\/p>\n

If nothing changes after Feb 17, 2026, my plan would switch back to the normal paid price, so the safest place to check is the Manage button under Payment.<\/p>\n

This offer is valid in several regions, and it’s being gradually rolled out.<\/p>\n
