Timberlake took to Instagram to reflect on the end of his marathon Forget Tomorrow world tour, which concluded with a sold-out show in Istanbul on Wednesday. <\/p>\n
While he described the experience as \u201cfun, emotional, [and] gratifying,\u201d he also finally disclosed to fans the source of the physical issues he encountered during the trek. <\/p>\n
\u201cI want to tell you a little bit about what\u2019s going on with me,\u201d the pop star wrote. <\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve been battling some health issues, and was diagnosed with Lyme disease\u2014which I don\u2019t say so you feel bad for me\u2014but to shed some light on what I\u2019ve been up against behind the scenes.\u201d <\/p>\n
He went on to describe the disease, which is a bacterial infection typically transmitted through a tick bite, as \u201crelentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically.\u201d <\/p>\n

Most people recover completely when treated with a four-week course of oral antibiotics, however others sometimes suffer prolonged symptoms of fatigue, body aches, or difficulty thinking for more than a year.<\/p>\n
Timberlake\u2019s tour\u2014which spanned four continents and more than 95 countries\u2014was praised by critics who noted his \u201cability to connect with fans on a deep, personal level<\/a>\u201d and his \u201ceye-popping showmanship<\/a>.\u201d It came on the heels of his sixth studio album, Everything I Thought It Was, which was released in March 2024.<\/p>\n
