After the game against the Knicks, Wembanyama discussed the injury and expressed confidence that it wouldn’t be something that would keep him sidelined for an extended period. He even wanted to return against New York.

“It was just a hyperextension, so it should be minimal,” Wembanyama said of the injury. “I was confident. I was this close to coming back in the game. [They] had to hold me back.”

On the season, Wembanyama has played in 21 games for San Antonio and he’s averaging 24.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.9 blocks per performance.

Is Victor Wembanyama playing tonight vs. Pacers?
